SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN

The Transit Board adopted the 2006 Short Range Transit Plan at a Public Hearing March 20, 2006. The Short Range Transit Plan is the first transit plan that is entirely focused on local transit within Marin County. The draft plan includes a complete assessment of the current system and its riders, as well as an identification of transit needs in Marin County and alternative ways to meet those needs. The goal of the plan is to develop a financially sustainable transit system for Marin County riders that maximizes productivity and mobility for everyone who travels within the County.

Improving transit in Marin County is an ongoing process and Marin Transit encourages you to continue to provide feedback. As required by Measure A, this plan will be updated every two years.

The Short Range Transit Plan is available by following the links below. Hard copies of the Plan are available for reference in the following locations:

    All Marin Public Libraries
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) Office in Oakland

The plan is available to the public as a free CD or you can order a hard copy for the cost of printing ($16). Please send your mailing address to Marin Transit.
