TransLink®

TransLink® smart cards can be used on all routes operated by Golden Gate Transit. At this time, TransLink is not available on the Stagecoach or the Route 221, 233, and 259 shuttles. More information on TransLink is available here


Tickets

Marin County Local tickets distributed through Golden Gate Transit are now accepted on the Stagecoach and local shuttle routes.

Marin County Adult Discount Ticket Books - 20 tickets for $36.00
10% discount for adults traveling on buses solely within Marin County.

Marin County Youth Discount Ticket Books - 20 Tickets for $20 Good for youths (6 to 17 years) traveling on buses solely within Marin County.

Youth pass*    $175 for six months

* Not good on regional routes including Routes 70/80

Transfers

Marin County Local riders can get free transfers between the West Marin Stage, Community Shuttles (221, 233 & 259) and the Golden Gate operated routes within Marin County.

Transfers issued on Shuttles or Stage CANNOT be used on Golden Gate Buses or Ferries outside Marin County. Transfers from Transbay buses and Ferries are accepted on Shuttles and Stage.

Transfers have the following restrictions:

1. Travel must be in the same direction within two hours from time of issuance or otherwise indicated on the transfer

2. Transfers are issued by bus operator or ferry ticket agent only at time fare is paid. Advise driver or agent of your destination and intention to transfer when boarding

3. Transfers cannot be used to make a round trip

4. A transfer can be used only by the person to whom it is issued


Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount Card

The Regional Transit Connection (RTC) Discount Card is available to qualified persons with disabilities and senior citizens 65 years of age or older. The card makes it easier for you to demonstrate your eligibility for reduced fares on fixed-route transit, bus, rail and ferry systems throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Applications are accepted at all San Francisco Bay Area transit systems and then forwarded to a central office where applications are reviewed, information is verified and an eligibility determination is made. An RTC Discount ID Card will be mailed to eligible applicants within 21 days.
